This place gets crowded QUICK. The bowling lanes are $10 a game. The bar itself is quite big! But at night, this came become a very overwhelming place quickly. But it’s a nice bar/bowling alley
Actually this is not the first time I came to bowling at Gutter bar. This time my best friend just want to chill out so I go with her. On Sunday night it wasn't packed, there were 4 groups ahead of us but we didn't wait too long. It was so fun to come with friend no one care the score you get just having a good time.
Bartender and another staff are super casual. The early shift was good but the night shift are kind of lazy and boring. That was one of the reason we left because after changing the shift, we feel the service was not good.
Came here on a date and I felt like the place itself was fine and a fair price to play. I’ve heard good things about the live music and we did get to catch a bit of decent comedy happening in the back. It’s retro/old school (so obviously it’s not going to be a fancy screen and set-up), and I feel like the bathroom area was better than a lot of bars.
Maybe there’s a lot of regulars because I felt a lot of eyes when I first walked in.
This might sound silly to some, but here’s why I’m writing this and put two stars. A staff member bumped into me hard and I nearly fell over. No one else was in the way and I hadn’t interacted with that staff-member. It shocked me and just felt random and nasty to do that to a patron. I looked up expecting some sort of apology or thinking it was an accident but she didn’t even look back. So rude. Definitely not coming back.
We experienced terrible service when we visited for bowling on Saturday. We were told to wait approximately three hours, so we left and returned later in the night to check on our reservation. Upon showing our ticket to the staff member, her response was dismissive, simply saying "I don't know" and "I don't care." As a result, we left after waiting three hours, utterly disappointed and unable to play.
Great bowling, fun retro vibe, good beer and friendly enough bar man, however the woman at the bowling desk was very unhelpful and rude. Besides her it was a fun night, maybe think of getting a new staff for the bowling.
super fun spot, loved the old school vibe. the beer prices are fantastic and the bowling is great. there’s only 8 lanes so i recommend checking in a bit beforehand in case there’s a wait. love the fact that you can order food delivery to this spot since they don’t have a kitchen! we’ll definitely be back.
Excellent bar. Terrible quality, but unique and fun bowling lanes. Get there early as the wait to bowl can get very very long
Really great spot if you like dingy dark bars. The pool table is a bit worn, but it works! Not the Best lanes if you are a serious bowler, but the bar allows you to order takeout so I think that makes up for it. This is a great bar to hit up with a few friends. I'll definitely be back soon.
